People who try to sell used electronics on the internet aren't the smartest people in the world  .... They list their old 32 inch flat screen for $1000 thinking its a "deal of the century" since they bought it for $3000. 

This person fails to realize that a potential buyer can go to the store and buy a new one for $600 or would rather buy a new tv and save the provincial sales tax and the enviromental disposal fee and help you upgrade from a used 32 inch tv for a brand new 52 inch. Instead they want to upgrade their tv with this $1000 by selling their old tv to YOU and then using this money to buy a brand new 50 inch tv.

About 99% of people selling their stuff are like this ... its sort of like donating a 50 inch tv to them. So go out and help these poor fellows with outdated tvs with 720p resolution and let them upgrade their Viewsonic to a Sony, Samsung or Sharp.

I get screwed over all the time when I go on vacation with currency fluctuations. Last year in Hong Kong, I got screwed over w. stuff by a few hundred dollars. I thought it was going to be X dollars, but it was X plus $500 dollars.

Then I've been waiting patiently for my euro-cruise tax refund and I got screwed over 25% on the exchange rate ! I buy the stuff at 1.65 and I get a tax refund a month later at 1.45 !

I think I always plan my vacations when the currency is at a super all time high and then it rises 25% while I am away. Woohooo ...

Those were list prices for the opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics .... in 1988 Winter Olympic games, I went to about to 25-30 events ... in today's dollars, I would of spent about $100,000 ...

I can't believe the cheapest seat is $175 for the opening ceremonies ... the seat will be in row 500 of the BCE stadium too.

Thank goodness they don't publish hotdog and hamburger prices b/c as I recall that was the most expensive part of the Olympics when I was a teenager. Burgers back then were about $8-10 so if we forecast using the prices of official tickets, a burger would cost at least $80 to $100 dollars.

on the cruise, I beat hundreds of senior citizens and won the champagne ring toss. Only took me two tries... everyone else had 5 tries and it went unwon for 45 minutes until I swooped in.

The key to champagne ring toss is patience, focus and inner strength.. (and also not throwing it like a frisbee b/c a spinning ring is much tougher to get on the champagne top )

its actually an amusement park and not a nature park ... its got roller coasters, rides, carnival games, cotton candy ... its like an old fashioned amusement park. It was pretty nice but definitely not worth the entire visit to Copenhagen to see a fancy amusement park.
