I was going to get a free hamburger at your sister store, Harveys over the weekend but we were too hungry to line up for free burgers in the big lineup so we decided to go to your Swiss Chalet store instead. My wife really wanted to try the "unlimited soup and salad" promo you have been advertising to death.. and we get there and we see the big sign in front of us. But when we order, we are told it is only available for Monday to Friday ! Come on !

 

For $8 or whatever you charge, I am pretty sure you are making enough money selling unlimited soup and salad to seniors citizens...

 

 

The new mock version of the stadium in Hamilton where they might play hockey. I personally think Vaughn is the better spot since its closer to my blog.

oh, i love picking dandelions ... what i don't get with the Toronto ban on pesticides that has lead to a city filled with dandelions is why the heck are toronto golf clubs courses not adhering to the dandelion problem?

 

how and why are they exemptt? golf courses to my knowledge have alot of green space

just got back from revitalizing downtown volunteering planting flowers @ bloor and dufferin. It was my good deed of the day ... there were 30 volunteers yet we were the only ones to bring the biodegradeable paper landscaping bags.. I guess downtown people had never seen them before but they are all the rage in the suburbs.

 

when we first got to the site, people were like where to we put all the grass and the weeds and all the eco-environmentalists look confused b/c no one had brought anything ... luckily we live in the suburbs and one less waste bag means one less bag of branches I have to pick up at home...

 

They suggested you bring some periennals flowers so we did bring a few big tulips and sage flowers ... although caught with so many volunteers, someone planted the flowers we brought. So just like any good samiratan, we digged them out and replanted them in our spot.

 

 

 

I had to pick up a birthday gift in Yorkville. Parking there is quite expensive but I found the best deal parking in Yorkville. Park at the meters on St. Charles (1 block south of Bloor) - they don't close down like the Bloor Street ones and they are only $2.50 per hour compared to who knows what on Bloor street and parkades. Unfortunately I had to circle around two times because ironically a Tamil protestor took the last spot.

 

Everytime I've gone to Cartier, it seems like everyone is trying to get their broken watch fixed... its very amusing as they give it to the salesperson who obviously isn't a qualified watch person. The entire store is just people who have their broken watches. 

 

Sports is really about numbers ...... pick an obsure unknown sport and surely you can succeed. How many people in the world have ever double luged? New york times best seller (non fiction) Outliers found out a disportional amount of NHLers are born in January and 40% were born in the first three months of the year.

 

Simple, when you are a kid being born in January vs someone born in December gives you an advantage ... Its one year of physical development.

 

40 percent of the players will have been born between January and March, 30 percent between April and June, 20 percent between July and September, and 10 percent between October and December. I was born in October therefore I am not a professional hockey player.

wow, the world has changed ! Trekkers are rejoining around the world.

 

So I preplanned and shipped some Costco flowers last week for Mother's Day ....... and then tell the world if Costco.ca flowers are good.. They deliver on weekdays and I ordered the biggest arrangement and called on Friday to see if they have arrived...

 

Phone picks up and its not mom, not dad but some employee and mom went off to freakin Europe and no one can see the dam flowers.
