Travel is way way down ... just called a major hotel chain b/c my reservation wasn't sent by e-confirmation. I tried three different agents and all of them couldn't find it !  Of course I didn't write down the 13 digit confirmation number since they give "usually"  e-confirm right away. 

 

Agent - Sir, we don't have any reservations under any name at that hotel

 

Me - WTF - travelling is way way down if they don't have any reservations at all.

 

Agent 2 - said the same thing

 

Agent 3 - same thing

 

Only costs the price of a summer vacation ...

 

 

I just realized I booked a 2 day trip to Paris and one of the days is on their independance day and everything from the subway to shops to museums are freakin closed.

I always find hotel pricing all over the map ....

 

Hotels in Hong Kong are cheaper than Windsor, Paris cheaper than Montreal, etc etc. An average condo costs about 1.5 million Cdn in Hong kong yet, you can get a nice hotel for 60 dollars. Wacky.

 

I'm trying to find a cheap hotel in Copenhagen but expedia is letting me down. Dam you Copenhagen and your outrageous hotel pricing.

Moviecube DVD kiosks are your local grocery store. @ 99 cents a rental of any DVD. Sometimes if you enter your email address, you even get a free rental. When the movies are 99 cents you don't get too picky, I watched Bangkok Dangerous. Don't ask me why. I had already driven there and they were out of that Leonardo Di Caprio CIA movie.

Just imagine if Toronto won the 2008 Summer Olympic bid ...... and we would of be saddled with a debt of $10 billion or so through building ping pong table revues, automated white water rafting rapids, etc.  That would of be awesome.

 

Lot of restaurants are running promo's ... last week went to Boston's Pizza - $10 for 10 items but then realized the special was cancelled. Then we ordered a freakin $19 spagetti and meatball dish. Yes $19 real dollars. The orginal price was $17 plus taxes and gratuity but we managed to get it for only $19 since they charged us for toasted cheese on the garlic bread. The waitress asked "would you like your spaghetti toasted with cheese?" .... I was unsure was whether I would of been extra charged b/c the did she mean the spaghetti itself with melted cheese or bread... anyways it was the latter and I paid $19 for a freakin spaghetti for lunch at bad chain restaurant. I really hope Boston Pizza goes bankrupt. This was their lunch menu.

 

But fast forward one week and just ate at Frankie Tomatoe's all you can eat for $7.99! Yes, $7.99 Tuesday lunches. Crazy. This is the deal of the week.

 

So I got some thank you cards for the thank you cards I sent out months ago ... and now I got in trouble for not sending out thank you cards for the thank you cards. Someone complained I didn't send out a thank you card. The reason was the thank you card for the thank you card included a small christmas gift sent in October to save on double postage. Do you send thank you cards for Christmas gifts? This is a grey area. I already spent five bucks sending the orginal thank you card.
