    Shopping for shorts

is very difficult right now in this climate. Don't stores think about all the people sipping on Strawberry Daiquiris in Caribbean need to wear shorts to properly enjoy the warm sunny weather. Ridiculous, no wonder retail is struggling.

    Why

Why do single guys in their mid thirties think they are George Clooney?

Why do single girls in their mid thirties think they are Carrie Bradshaw?

24 movie starts next weekend !

Damit, its on Sunday and I will be somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico sipping on a Pina Colada.

How to decorate a basement ....

Get one of those Talking Bass wall art. It adds to the ambience of any bachelor pad. Wall art sets the mood. Talking fish wall art says you are a winner.

    Movie of the week ...

Now that we have seen the most anticipated ultimate fight of our generation, we will see "Beverly Hills Chihuahua". I can hardly wait.

    DVDs

have been raided out of Toronto. The new Bose dvd system didn't play them anyways.

How to impress girls while living your parent's basement ...

So living in your parent's basement is on the surface a very hilarious situation which could merit an 1980s sitcom but its a reality for some.

    Rocky

Night on the town ... watching Ultimate fighting at the suburban Shoeless Joes. The biggest fight in history .... this was the closest thing to Andre the Giant vs Hulk.
This place was free to watch .. I forced my significant other to join me otherwise I would be some loser by himself watching ultimate fighting in the suburbs.

The WWF wrestler beats the Rocky of the UFC and the crowd boos ... I guess its because its fan love the realness of two guys humping each other and a fake former WWF wrestler winning their championship makes their entire world meaningless.

    I can't believe I watch this stuff.

    We are budgetary ...

    Irony:

Let's just get some snack  food at the theatre ..

No it's too expensive (as someone stuffs bottled water, juices and snacks) into her gigantic Prada purse ....

AGO opening - Free - bigline in rain.

I wish you could buy stocks into public endeavours like purchasing whether your property taxes will go up or whether TTC employees will strike.

In 2000, AGO entrance fee was $6.
In 2004, AGO entrance fee was $10.
In 2008, AGO entrance fee is $20.

AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario.

    Bond

The new Bond is like the new Batman, awesome .....

Cheap meats in times of economic crisis

Unfortunately, price usually dictates whats better, tastier, etc.

A Sony bravia LCD is better than a Viewsonic, a Lexus LS460 is better than a Hyundia Genesis, rib steak is better than eye of round steak ..

but you can still eat good without paying rib steak prices. Meat prices fluctuate due to demand and geography.  Rib steak prices have gone up ever since my blog has been praising it. Its now more expensive than Striploin !

Cheap meats that are very tasty despite their price.

    Lamb shanks.
Flank steak. Needs to be cut against the grain. Its literally impossible to remember this when you are cutting the steak though as you always want to cut with the lines.
Beef brisket is supercheap and good for beef stew.

    Amazon wedding registry ...

Just checking out the wedding website for the Caribean wedding in two weeks although I'm leaving in one.

I love wedding websites. They are pretty awesome. This one included 8 love poems/songs. The songs were shockingly long. Of course, blog got in trouble b/c of the love songs since there were pages and pages of them.

    oh my goodness ...

Blog calling City of Toronto about the utility bill since there is a new garbage waste charge.

Blog - I just got my utility bill and there is no credit for the solid waste management fee.

City - Oh, do you have an amount charged there?

    Blog - No.

City - The billing period is probably before November 1st so there is no charge.

Blog - No, this is not residential service, the city has been charging Commercial pickup since July 1st and I've been getting garbage tags from the city for $3.60.

    City - "Oh my god"

City - How many tags do you get for that?

Blog - One plus applicable taxes

City - "oh my god !!!"

(you got to love it when the City of Toronto billing person says "oh my god twice in disbelieve at her own employer when you are asking a question"

Blog - well the roll out was July 1st and I've spent about $400 in tags a month so that's around $2000 so far and according to the city we get a small credit but its not reflective in this bill.

City  - "oh my god, let me check for you"

    This is garbage.

    Christmas gift giving

Give coupons ... in this time of world recession, giving coupons are free if they are never redeemed

    November 11

I can eat $299 worth of food in one week ...

That's about $40 worth of food a day ... factor in you have breakfast, lunch, dinner, a midnight buffet and a 24 hour pizzeria, it is feasible.

Embarassing moment of the week ...

Checking out a bucket of  Stone Effects chemical solvent at Home Depot and then dropping it on your foot and it explodes all over your boat shoes and jeans ... and you are drenched in this half paint half chemical solvent in the middle of this Home Depot aisle and you don't know what to do.

    Suburban awesomeness.

    High growth stocks ...

Buying a professional sports team has been the best investment in our generation.

In the early 80s, the Chicago Tribute bought the Cubs for about $21 million dollars and now is soliciting offers of $1 to 1.5 billion !

In the first round of bidding offers of $700 to $900 million were rejected. Now its round two ...
